Turning Point
A turning point in my life would have to be my freshman year in High School. Everything was going pretty well for my first year of high school. I met new friends, still talk to my old ones, saw some cute guys, and had pretty good teachers. Except when it became to the end of the first semester a lot of drama started to go on. I thought I knew who all my friends were and I could trust them with anything. Of course there were still a few who I knew were always there for me. Except for one day when my “friend” Irina told me a rumor about “my other friend” Haley. I kept asking Irina if the rumor was true and she said yes, so I went up to Haley and asked her if it was true. She did not talk about it so I assumed it was true until Haley and Irina came over and started to yell at me. My friend Alanna was there with me and helped defended me. That same day I broke down and Alanna was there to comfort me. The other girls were just sitting on the other side talking about what just happened. It didn’t even end there. Apparently Haley was dating my friend Alanna’s ex-boyfriend Cameron and he cheated on Haley with Alanna. Cameron did not want to tell Haley, but Alanna went to go tell her and since then Haley hated Alanna. Haley and Irina kept talking about us, so my friends Alyssa and Isabella came over to hang out with me and Alanna, because they did not like what they were talking about. Since then everything just went down spiral and by the end of the school year I was not friends with 80% of the people I thought were my friends. I was actually glad that happened to me, because now I know how to pick out my friends out of my acquaintances. Since then I have learned how to stay out of drama and just talk with the people I know would not start anything and if something does happen, I just stay out and pretend I know nothing.
